Education, not medical advice

The content on this site is general patient education. It is not a diagnosis, not a treatment recommendation, and not a substitute for a consultation with a clinician who has examined you and knows your history. In particular, nothing here can tell you whether the change in your own face is skin laxity or the position of the tissue beneath it; that requires an examination.

Modest, temporary results

Energy-based tightening produces a modest change that is not permanent. The result arrives over the months after a series and is gradually lost as the skin continues to age, so a result that is kept up requires further sessions. No duration, interval or outcome described on this site is a promise; individual response varies with the class of energy, the area, the skin type and the individual.

No guaranteed outcome

No treatment described here can be guaranteed, and a completed series may produce no measurable change in a face the treatment does not reach. Results vary with anatomy, skin type, healing and time. Where this site describes a typical course or a typical interval, it describes a range drawn from general experience rather than a commitment about your own case.

When to seek care urgently

After a session, blistering, broken skin or a burn that is not settling requires prompt assessment rather than waiting for a review appointment. Increasing pain, warmth, redness or swelling in the treated area, or fever, requires assessment. A hollow or a dip that appears in the treated area weeks after treatment should be reported rather than watched.
